Simple Life - Hāhore
The simplicity of life is reflected by the European influenced maripi (knife) carved from New Zealand pounamu, sitting on a pounamu mount on Kaiawa river stone carved with entwined koru. The maripi is removable.
Kaiawa – Food from rivers and streams.
Koru – Symbolises the unfurled sliver fern leaf, depicting new beginnings, growth and harmony. It represents nurturing and when entwined with others, embodies the strength and purity of loving family relationships.
