Return Of Power - Whakahokia O Te Mana
The maripi (knife) has a taniwha handle and is carved from New Zealand pounamu. It sits on a pounamu mount on New Zealand ancient kauri. The renewal of the kauri with the taniwha above symbolises the return of inner power. The maripi is removable.
Taniwha – Mythical creature said to live in the oceans and inland waters of New Zealand. It represents protector and guardian of kinsmen and family.
